Frequently Asked Questions

Will tutoring help my child?

Private tutoring can help your child reach an academic goal by providing personalized instruction and targeted support.

How does your homeschool system work?

I recommend that parents choose a minimum of a three-hour homeschooling session once per week. During this time, the tutor focuses on strengthening the specific skills where the student needs the most support. Because this is a one-on-one homeschooling setting, instruction takes place in a rich, individualized learning environment—very different from micro-schools that serve multiple students at once.

Is online tutoring as effective as in person tutoring?

Absolutely. Online tutoring offers the same one-on-one guidance with added flexibility and convenience. There is strong research supporting the effectiveness of high-impact tutoring. Explore the research behind high-impact tutoring here:

How do you track student progress?

I monitor progress through informal assessments, goal-setting, and consistent feedback during sessions. Instruction is adjusted as students grow to ensure continued progress and confidence.

What makes Cano Tutoring LLC unique compared to other tutoring programs?

Many tutoring programs follow a one-size-fits-all approach, which can work for some students, but leaves others feeling frustrated or overwhelmed. In some cases, tutoring can even feel like just more homework. Cano Tutoring LLC is different. I focus on creating a personalized, encouraging, and fun learning environment where students feel comfortable, confident, and excited to learn- so they can truly grow and succeed.

Why monthly tuition?

Consistent scheduling helps students build momentum, retain skills, and develop confidence more effectively than sporadic sessions. Monthly tuition is calculated based on the number of scheduled sessions per week and billed at the start of each month.
